The Q Award is presented to an individual or organization that embraces and advances Quality Quest's goal of improving healthcare. The award is from the Quest Board of Directors.
2012 Q Award Recipient: Stacy DeJaynes
Stacy DeJaynes, Director of Growth and Innovation at Methodist Medical Center, was recognized for her service as a member of the Quality Quest Healthy Lifestyles School Project Team, which resulted in the creation of the Central Illinois Wellness Council. DeJaynes is president of the multi-stakeholder group that works to improve health and wellness in the Peoria area. One focus of the council is reducing adolescent obesity through multiple programs that educate students about nutrition and exercise.

2011 Q Award Recipients: Health Information Exchange Advisory Council
The Health Information Exchange Advisory Council deserves recognition for driving health information exchange forward at remarkable speed in our region. This dedicated group of 30 volunteers fostered collaboration and support among many stakeholders in 20 counties during the one-year planning grant from the state of Illinois. Their hard work translated into the creation of the Central Illinois Health Information Exchange in 2011.

2010 Q Award Recipient: Dr. Terry Baldwin
Dr. Terry Baldwin, a physician with the Illinois Gastroenterology Institute, served as the physician team leader of the Quest colonoscopy quality improvement project and showed great commitment to its development and implementation. This innovative project with local roots will save lives by decreasing colon cancer deaths.

2009 Q Award Recipients: Top Performing Clinics in Affordable Medication Prescribing
The inaugural Q Award winners were recognized as top clinic performers in their specialty for prescribing affordable medications, based on data from Quest's 2nd Quarter 2009 Generic Prescribing Report.
These top performing clinics demonstrated their commitment to not only controlling the cost of healthcare, but to better patient outcomes, as cost-effective prescriptions are associated with a higher adherence rate.
